After months of speculation and debates the time has come and Apple will be revealing the new Iphone on Sept. 12, at 10 a.m., at the Yerba Buena Center, in downtown San Francisco. There are questions over what the new iPhone design will look like, but the brand new phone should come with a bigger 4-inch screen, NFC, and iOS 6, which was announced in June at WWDC. Cihra has forecast sales of 24 million iPhones in the September quarter, which would represent 39 percent year over year growth. He sees potential for a few million units on the upside, but is looking forward to a blockbuster quarter to follow in December.
The next version of the iPhone will possibly make extensive use of the new iOS 6 platform, including its own 3D Maps with turn-by-turn navigation, use of Digital Wallet mobile payment technology, Near-Field Communication and 4G LTE connectivity. It is also said that the battery life on the new Iphone will be better along with numerous other features such as the dock connector that is getting smaller to make room for a 3.5mm headphone jack on the base of the new iPhone 5.
Will the new iPhone blow away the competition with its comely features?
